The donor levels for the Crigler administration reflect important women and battles of the War.

The women were active in every facet of “home” and thus equally important in our fight for freedom. We honor first, our own Edenton Ladyes for the courage to stand up for what they believed. The Minute women level honors those who took up arms and fought alongside the men. Followed by camp followers - the ladies who cooked, cleaned and did the laundry for our soldiers. There were those Daughters of Liberty who stayed at home and battled with their voices or quietly listened and reported what they had heard. Lastly, our growers and sewers because articles of clothing had to be sewn and food had to be grown to benefit both the troops and their families. These women are real heroes of the Revolution!
